Photonics is a $710 billion global industry that impacts every sector of economy and the daily lives of most citizens on earth. The Canadian Photonics Community invites you to learn more about the remarkable impact of photonics in Canada at the Château Laurier on Tuesday Oct. 27th.
This event will include a talk on global optoelectronic market opportunities and future trends by internationally renown photonics leader, Michael Lebby, President & CEO, Optoelectronics Industry Development Association (OIDA). The Canadian Photonics Consortium will also release a definitive study on photonics in Canada followed by a progress report card on key enabler, the Canadian Photonics Fabrication Centre (CPFC).
Canada is a world leader in photonics, the science of generating, manipulating and detecting light. Photonics applications are endless and include:
