Information Technology (IT) Security is a fundamental strategic driver of a successful organization's business or mission.  Now more than ever, with increasing threats to information systems from criminals and terrorists, IT security professionals must be prepared to meet the challenges that exist today and in the future. As a result, the U.S. Commercial Service has developed a one day seminar for U.S. IT security professionals to introduce new and innovative technologies that will assist Canadian public and private sector organizations achieve the protection they require.  

The U.S. Embassy IT Security Seminar and Exhibit will feature a breakfast briefing with a keynote address on IT security as well as six technical presentations given over the course of the day by representatives of leading U.S. companies offering IT Security solutions.  Some of the technologies that will be presented at the event include identity management, role-based security, authentication and encryption from well known companies such as Juniper Networks, BAE Systems, Daon and AirtightNetworks.  A light lunch and refreshments will be provided.  An evening networking reception will offer additional time for U.S. and Canadian participants to discuss the challenges and solutions facing the IT security industry today.
