The Centre for Photonics Fabrication Research (CPFR: www.cpfr.ca) was established in March 2005 as a collaborative research program between Five Ontario universities and industry partners. The five Ontario universities are: Carleton University (Lead Institution), McMaster University, the University of Ottawa, York University and Ryerson University. The objective of the CPFR is to establish research and training projects in photonics and optoelectronics for the design, fabrication and testing of novel photonic components and subsystems. Fabrication is made at the CPFC and university-based fabrication labs at Carleton and McMaster.
