On July 23, PWGSC issued a Request for Information (RFI) on
MERX, the electronic tendering service used by the government, to seek feedback from commercial and non-commercial providers of IT security services on credential and authentication products and services. Updated credential and authentication services will help make on-line government programs more accessible to Canadians and businesses while continuing to secure and protect information.
Industry organizations have until September 5, 2008, to submit their feedback on the
RFI for IT security services on credential and authentication products and services. Information obtained from the IT industry will be considered in developing a more flexible and cost effective service for government credential and authentication services.
