ORCCA: Using Social Media to Kick Your Recruiting Efforts Into High Gear!
February 23, 2010

It’s no secret that companies are using social networking sites like LinkedIn and Facebook today to screen prospective new hires, often before the interview process even begins.    Up until now, however, there hasn’t been much written about how companies are using social media to enhance their recruiting efforts, or what kind of results they’re achieving.

The advent of social media affords recruiters with easy and unprecedented levels of access to more people than ever in the history of recruiting.  Simply using the “Top 2” social networks alone (LinkedIn and Facebook), recruiters have the ability to find, communicate with, and engage millions of potential prospects across the country, AND….it’s free!  And that’s not the only benefit. A recent survey of Canadian recruiters, who’ve jumped onboard the social media bandwagon early, indicates they are reaping some very positive results:

  -  44% say it’s improved the quality of hire
  -  36% say it’s reduced their time to hire

Are you interested in learning how companies around the world are tapping into the social media network to attract the best talent?  What innovations are leading to real results?

This session is designed to showcase some of the best recruiting strategies and tactics used by employers today.  Learn from the recruiting leaders and discuss ideas you can ‘borrow’ for your own implementation.  From video streaming to unique grad swag, you’ll be twittering about these ideas in the coming year!

Come and join us for this informative session lead by Arieh Singer, National Interactive Strategist and Sylvie Doré, Business Development Director of TMP Worldwide - the world’s leading authority on developing and deploying digital solutions for talent acquisition and employee engagement
